I have a group of great kids who are eager and willing to learn. Every day I see that they are understanding more and getting more in-depth in their comprehension but there is still something missing. My classroom technology is limited to one Apple eMac that is about 8 years old. I am able to have students share time on it for some word processing but that is the limit of in-class technology. We are able to have 45 minutes of computer lab time every week but that is the only time we are given to work on our technology skills and standards. It its difficult to get into too much depth with the language arts, math, and technology skills needed for the new assessments in such a short amount of time. We are a very large school with over 1000 students and five other 5th grade classes so we have to share time.
