Our school can be described in one word, FAMILY. We are a Title 1 school with 650 students. While, economically and socially challenged, all of the students are warm, engaging and eager to learn. Third grade is a pivotal year in elementary. This is the year where most students are provided differentiate instruction to meet their needs. My goal for my students is that they will immerse themselves in learning. These students are amazing and impress me with the academic and social growth they display. Third grade is the first year the students begin taking standardized tests in our area. All children have great abilities, but these children have the ability to move mountains with the right resources and instruction. If we could only provide them with the means and opportunities to do so!
