My students are competitive learners that are always on the lookout for ways to make their college-admission applications better than their peers. Students at Boulder City High School learn chemistry and physics with hands-on lab activities (when possible) and virtual lab simulations (when appropriate). We use Vernier probeware to collect and process data and then print that data to a shared printer. We also use Java simulations in world-simulators like the PhET program and Interactive Physics when we need to manipulate gravity, friction, and time. iPads we have, but they don't work with our software. We need PCs with Windows, Java, and USB ports.
