I have found that Hi-Write paper is a very helpful tool for my students with special needs, as it assists with fine motor control and legibility of their writing. I am hoping that by using this paper instead of standard paper, my students' frustration level will decrease, allowing them to enjoy the writing process. I plan to use the flip charts, clips, magnets, and craft sticks to create an interactive word wall to make my students' writing, spelling, and grammar instruction more engaging. In our school, one of the goals for third grade students is to learn how to work more independently through guided centers in literacy instruction. With the help of these supplies, my students will learn to be more independent workers, while being actively engaged in their learning.
