My students need an area rug to gather for read alouds, social emotional learning, and games and puzzles. This area rug will be the center of the room and a meeting place for quality literature enrichment, class meetings to develop social/emotional learning, and a cozy and comfortable place to work on games and puzzles. My students are social and curious learners who thrive on think pair share and partner work. They like to engage with one another while learning and this area rug will facilitate this aspect of their time together. They need a place to come together as a classroom community.
