My students come from a variety of backgrounds, but one thing is common; they are a majority of struggling readers. The majority of my students are ESL and struggle to read a lot of texts we teach. This causes them to dislike reading. They are a great bunch of kids that enjoy coming to school and I hope to offer them the chance to read more of what they enjoy. My school is on a tight budget as am I. I was able to purchase some books on my own with my own money, but would love to have more books for students to enjoy in the classroom.
