Middle school classrooms with Title I and special needs students that incorporate flexible seating such as floor cushions, stand up desks, and scoop chairs provide a variety of seating options to facilitate different learning styles! I am always looking for ways to impact student learning that will keep students engaged and enthusiastic about reading and writing! Special needs students that struggle to remain focused will benefit from flexible seating while they are reading and writing to accommodate their need to move while they are learning. There is currently no funding on my campus to address these students' needs that will support their learning styles in a traditional middle school.
