My students are excited about school and come to class looking for new ideas and ways to succeed. Because they are 7th graders, they are the "middle" group. People see them as old enough to set an example, but too young to be leaders. Hormones run rampant and many times they are misunderstood. We use strategies to work through these obstacles to be successful in our studies and get our projects and homework completed collaborating as much as we can. Our school is a inner city school with lots of potential. When our students see that they are cared for and supplies are plentiful, it makes them feel valued and appreciated. They try harder knowing that their teacher cares. We need to use our time and resources as efficiently as possible! This is why we need these basic supplies as soon as possible so we can start the year prepared!
