I teach at a fabulous school in Northern California. My is school has a wonderful community of kind and helpful parents and students. Like many schools, funding for the purchase of new materials is tough. I have just been introduced to my new group of 4th graders for the 2014/15 school year. I can tell already that these students are mesmerized by the written word and enjoy discussing stories that they have read or ones that have been read to them. As teachers, we often read the same material year after year due to lack of funding for new purchases. I enjoy what we currently read by I realize try new things is important each year.
