My fourth grade students are dedicated learners who are striving to do their personal best each and every day. Each morning I greet my 13 girls and 10 boys at the doorway to encourage another great day of learning together. Students are offered universal breakfast, which is a free breakfast program for Title I schools. Families were not required to purchase school supplies this school year since it is an added burden to many financially. The school and generous donors are providing what is needed. Students sit at round tables with four students to a table. I have provided several individual spots to give students the freedom to move to a less distracting place at times. There is a reading area and a computer counter with 4 desktop computers. The floor is carpeted and I have provided bean bags, Pillow Pets and crates with pillows for additional seating and comfort.
