The materials will be used to expose students to robotics in Science Lab. Each year we borrow a few robot kits from our district for a few months each year before we are forced to have to return them. With only 2 robots to use with our students, it make it very hard to make the robots available to more children. When the rest of the students see what is being created with the robots, all my other students started asking what is that? Is it hard? Can I too learn to use robots? So I thought of exposing all my students to the same robots and challenges I use with my robotics team. I want my students to feel that same love they feel for Science, for Math, and Technology. To be exposed to different materials and methods of teaching which will help open their minds to the possibilities of a future in engineering and robotics. Having LEGO Mindstorms in the classroom could really spark that extra curiosity my students need to stay in school and expose them to the wonderful world of STEM.
