This year we are a class of 19, 6 boys and 13 girls. We come from all walks of life. There is nothing I like more than to get to know my students each year and learn as much as I can about them. I have known my kiddos for only 1 week but can tell that this is going to be a great year. Many of them are reading basic chapter books with a few exceptions. When I asked the class how many of them like to read, most raised their hands. (The ones that didn't, will!) Our school is a small community school where many of the children walk to school in the mornings. Blue Grass Elementary is more than a school it is a community, it is a family. I know that I look forward to going to work everyday because of my wonderful Blue Grass Family.
