My students are fourth graders. The class is split between low and high learners. My students are hard working and want to succeed in their work as well as their personal lives. Many of them do after school activities which includes enrichment classes. They have a desire to learn. Our school is classified as poverty. Every child is approved for the food backpack program. Not all use that program but many do. Education is their hope for a better life than what they are experiencing now. Many want to go to college and know that their grades will get them there. Even in poverty, these students come to school everyday wanting and willing to learn. They want to know more!
