We have a diverse student population at our school. (Hispanic, Arabic, Caucasian and African American) All of our students receive state or federal assistance. Most of the students are very hard working and are well behaved. Those who are struggling with the above things usually have things going on in their lives that distract them from school. (Poverty, watching younger siblings, drug and alcohol abuse in the home.) Our school is a very clean and safe environment. Three years ago the whole staff except for myself was replaced including the Principal. The staff has worked very hard the last three years to turn the school around. We have after school programs, community progams, parent programs, projects based programs and many opportunities for field trips. The focus of the whole school is STEAM. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Music.) We also include the arts..
