An effective teacher not only needs to be knowledgeable, but needs to be organized. A desk and a whiteboard are the main tools a teacher needs to set up a classroom. I teach fourth grade students who need to write essays for the first time. A white board will allow me as a teacher to show my students the structure of a paragraph. It is definitely a crucial tool for them to see how to write. Teaching without one is a very difficult task not only for me as a teacher, but also for students to focus and learn. How could a teacher be organized and effective without a desk? Teaching during distance learning is a major task as we don't possess all the tools we need for this endeavor. A desk will provide me with the possibility to organize my papers and books in order for me to be more effective.
