My school consists of 81% Hispanics, 46% are eligible for reduced or free lunch, and 35% are English Language Learners. A lot of the students come from migrant families whose parents are working in the farm. I have 28 students in my class. They are very eager to learn and love to use hands-on manipulatives and technology. They appreciate all the help they could get and are very loving children despite their home condition.
