Jason Reynold's novel "Long Way Down" is relevant, engaging, and creative. I've passed my copy around the room and the students are hungry to get started reading and discussing it together! This novel will supplement the study we are doing around engaging with literature, developing our reading and writing skills as we analyze texts. This particular novel has a poetic structure that reinforces the poetry unit we did in December. We look forward to this novel as a springboard for our class discussion. Thanks so much for your consideration today!
