My students are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders in special education. The students in my class struggle with mental health issues, often stemming from the environments they come from, which tend to be low-income with little stability. These students are faced with so many obstacles, not only coming from a low-income community with limited resources, but also having mental health issues and learning disabilities. However, these students can still be successful if given the opportunity.
