My students have severe/profound cognitive, physical, and speech impairments. They communicate by smiles, facial expressions, gestures, cries, screams, and various other vocalizations. They are nonverbal and non-ambulatory. They require hand-over-hand assistance to complete most activities. Despite the challenges they face, they enjoy coming to school each day and interacting with their non-disabled peers.

About my class
