I have two classes of sixth graders, with 33 students in each class. I teach core, so I see the students for half a day, teaching English, reading and history. Our school is a 6-8 middle school. We have about 300 students in each class with a total of 900+ kids. It is a magnet school drawing students from a wide area of the East Bay in California. Culturally and ethnically diverse, students take pride in their school, as we have the highest attendance rate of the nine middle schools in our district.
