Traditional seating is often not conducive for student collaboration and learning. When students feel comfortable in a classroom, they are more productive. When a classroom offers seating and desk options, students have more choices, are better focused, and are more productive. Flexible seating also invites students to be collaborative learners. With comfortable chairs and a double standing desk, my class will have the tools they will need to help them succeed and become more productive. Many of my students present with learning challenges and attention issues. Providing options for seating truly enhances their attention to task and availability for learning.
