My students will be using the aquarium to study about the PH, salt content, and temperature that affects the life in the aquarium. Students will use the Aquatic plants in the aquarium to collect data and analyze the structure and function of aquatic plants and animals that support their life in that ecosystem. In addition, students will learn about the interaction of biotic and abiotic factors that helps to maintain the ecosystem. Students will use the aquarium as a natural phenomenon investigation to ponder on all the questions that they might have about the life in the ecosystem. Students will use the aquarium ecosystem to learn about the carbon and nitrogen cycle as well.
