I have a diverse group of learners who love to read. I would like to build my classroom library to include books that have diverse main characters my students can connect with and topics they can relate to. Books that emphasis kindness and inclusion of all differences. I would like to add books that lead into great social emotional learning lessons the students will love. During independent reading time they can reread these books, reviewing the lessons I've taught. I am frequently going to the public library to bring these books into my classroom but after they are returned the students don't have access to them. I'd like to change that!
