My students come to school everyday eager to learn. As their teacher, I feel it's my responsibility to create a safe, nurturing, and fun class so they are engaged in every lesson. My students come from many different backgrounds. For some students this is the first time they have attended school. With Chevron's help and using STEM funding (science, technology, engineering, math) my students will become familiar with technology. This year my 27 students and I are in a brand new school and in a brand new classroom. Since school has started, we have been limited to technology and are patiently waiting for it. Our school is a Title 1 school in California. Many of the students are English language learners. Our school offers free and reduced breakfast and lunch. They also offer an after school program (ACES) to help students academically. My students are excited to come to school and learn about numbers, shapes, and patterns.
