My students are high school cognitively impaired who's academic level range from a 2nd grade to a 5th grade. They work hard in class and out. They do jobs throughout the school to help prepare them for employability such as cleaning the cafeteria, helping in the office and sorting mail. We plan a menu, shop for groceries and then prepare the meals. They enjoy life and each other and are almost always eager to learn. They enjoy the hands on learning and life skills because they know it will be needed.
