Our students come from various walks of life; however, the majority come from low income, rural homes. We offer free breakfast and lunch to all students within the district. With almost 500 students in grades 9 - 12, about 50 students are at/above grade level. When we review data: Minimal is almost triple Proficient and Advanced combined. While we have a small lab, spacing is limited and secondary students, are in SATP courses. Our school recently adopted a computerized program that allows students to work within Individualized Learning Paths (help close the educational gaps and/or promote enrichment). However, because of limited space, we are hoping to implement a small tablet station that allows students to work within the program at various times. We are not just faced with grade promotion, but our students' success affects graduation and the potential to attend college/vocational trades.
