The students in my class have struggled their entire academic career. They have great personalities and are very creative. Many of them have difficulty with not only processing and organizing their ideas, but also they struggle with the physical act of writing using paper and pencil. Our school has doubled in student population in the past 5 years. Funding for technology has not always been possible. Although we are making steps in that direction, it has not been enough for the population of students in our school. I view my students as my children and want to give them every opportunity and advantage as I would my own children. The students in my classroom are a very small part of the total population of students, and most educational programs and policies are designed for the majority mainstream of students.
