Olympia school district is one of the largest geographic districts in the state of Illinois. It is comprised of several rural communities. Students are bused in daily from all corners of the nearly 400 square mile district. Our students all have unique backgrounds and stories, but all have one thing in common; they are Spartans. The goal of our district is the empower our students to take charge of their own learning and growth. It is with this in mind that everyday I challenge my students to take risks, ask questions, and advocate for themselves. My role as the teacher is not to shower students with information, but help guide them on their journey to answer the essential questions in their own way.
