Finding books with characters that look like the students we teach are important to make children able to relate to the stories read to them, and they are not always included in classroom library packages. While there is an increasing number of diverse books for young children, we are always in search of new titles to broaden our classroom selections, so that all our students are represented in books that they read each day. These books will help allow us to read books that represent all of the children that we teach so they can think "They look like me!"

About my class
