My students are compassionate, bright, motivated students who live in one of the poorest cities in the nation, Rochester. Rochester is the poorest urban district in New York, and has very limited funding in its schools. My students do not have the opportunity to play instruments at home or receive private lessons. My students are hungry for music instruction in school as it is an outlet for expression and freedom.
