While distance learning in the spring, I came to understand the importance of keeping learning new, fresh, and exciting, which is more challenging when done remotely. Students enjoyed learning activities such as escape rooms and scavenger hunts; these activities are readily available on Teachers Pay Teachers. Having these activities ready-made will allow me to focus on instruction and student needs. These materials are tools to help students successfully participate in distance learning in a more engaging and meaningful way. Headphones will help students to focus on school tasks, and activities from Teachers Pay Teachers will help build relationships and strengthen our classroom (albeit virtual) community. Many students had difficulties focusing on schoolwork during distance learning. Providing students with headphones will allow them to focus on learning.
