Our third graders absolutely love to read! We try to put quality books in their hands whenever we can, to keep their attention and to encourage their interest in reading. We will be reading in book clubs with the theme of social issues. This includes friendship, forgiveness, diversity, self-acceptance and standing up to bullying. These books were hand picked by our third grade teachers and there will be a copy for each class. This unit is sure to open up great conversations about being the best people we can be. In my opinion, this is the most important thing we can teach our children.
