I believe every student can learn just not on the same day or in the same way. I think that can also be said about WHERE they learn. Some of my students do better on the carpet or standing up rather then sitting at a desk. I want my students to come into my classroom and have a variety of options of where they would like to sit to learn and work. I believe flexible seating will do just that! As a teacher of second graders, my students are very active and have a lot of energy. They need a place at times where they can wiggle/wobble while at the same time staying on task and completing their work. The wobble chairs and cushions will give my students an outlet to get out their energy and aid in good classroom management. I have seen a lot of research that shows great results with flexible seating. I know if given the opportunity my students would benefit as well. I can't wait to see the amount of student growth that will happen!
