My school has a diverse community of learners. The students I serve come from very diverse backgrounds and in many cases, I have the honor of teaching children who are new to the country. They often come to class with a thirst and a love for learning that is furthered by the chance to work with materials that are often not available at home. For many, it is often their first time attending a school that offers resources such as computers (although limited), mathematics manipulatives, and a wide range of books. Each year administration struggles to choose materials that will offer the richest experience to our students but often it is not enough due to our large population and limited resources. It is my hope to continue to quench the thirst in the students I serve by reducing clutter and providing a learning environment that runs efficiently.
