Our students would love a mobile STEM Lab full of innovative STEM challenges to complete. This STEM Lab will be designed to be equally as engaging to girls as it is to boys. Materials purchased will consist of a variety of items ranging greatly in the price and level of mastery: coding robots, red solo cups, LEGO sets, K'Nex, circuits, play-doh, pipe cleaners, dominoes, Strawbee Inventor kit, and Spheros. Through the completion of these STEM projects, students can grow their critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. Our students are naturally curious and these types of challenges will allow for student lead learning. They can learn from their failures and successes as they work individually or in small groups. Finally, they can also increase skills like creativity, communication, leadership, decision making, and flexibility. All skill sets will benefit them in the future as they become the movers and shakers of the world.
