I am a 3rd grade teacher in a predominantly disadvantaged and poverty-stricken area in Southern Louisiana. I teach at a title 1 school which means that over 90 percent of kids are on free or reduced lunch. There are many students who come to school with no supplies, books, homework, or even signed papers from home. Their main concern is basic survival. I want to change that for them. I have been recently moved from teaching 4th grade to 3rd. I am super excited about the change, but find that it is very expensive to purchase resources for a new grade level. Any little bit that you could donate would help me out so much. Thank you in advance for your help and dedication to ensuring the betterment of all children, regardless of their financial status.
