The materials I am requesting will help my students become life-long readers and writers. Our school just adopted the Teacher's College Writing Program. By implementing the Writer's Workshop model, my students will begin to see themselves as true authors and illustrators. Chart paper and colored markers will be used to provide visuals for my students as this modality is one that is most common with how my students learn best. Included in my daily instruction is cooperative learning activities where we try to foster the skill of working together toward a common goal. I provide differentiated activities to cater to the needs of my students. Therefore, the color-coded folders, wipe-off boards, pencils, and wipe-off markers will help in grouping my students. The photocopy machine will allow me to differentiate homework as well as provide on the spot activities so that students needs could be met immediately. These supplies will be helpful as I spend hundreds of dollars to provide a quality education to my students. Most of their families cannot afford many of the basic supplies. I am confident that all students will be able to succeed with your help!
