Hi all! I'm teaching US and World History to about 160 students this year. However, my classroom needs some basic supplies to function at its highest capacity. Some of the first items I've listed include a printer, some toner, a set of drawers, binder clips, posters, and geographical maps. Having a printer and back up toner in the classroom allows me to print handouts, notes and graphic organizers for students relatively quickly and also facilitates lesson planning. With what I imagine will be so many papers, organization is key! The drawers would separate papers by class period and provide a simple mechanism for the class to turn in or get back assignments. Binder clips would also aide in organizing papers. Posters are great to have on hand for small group work and mini projects, activities that would foster collaboration in the classroom. Lastly, having geographical maps on the walls would be lovely visuals to various lessons. Please consider donating to my project as our first day of school is fast approaching on August 10th!
