My kindergarten students need hands-on technology that will encourage them to see the world around them better. The Smartscope would provide them the chance to get up close and see how things work and are put together. The Smart MicroScope and specimen kit will allow students to explore with me, but also on their own and foster a love for science and inquiry. The specimen kit will provide them the opportunity to explore 5 classes of animals, many which they don't encounter in our community. The variety will help to increase their science vocabulary while describing texture, composition, weight, and color of an object. My class is eager to expand our science investigations beyond what is available for us right now.
