I am teaching 3rd grade at a high poverty, public school. This means that every student that attends my school receives free or reduced cost lunch. Many of them live below the poverty line. With this in mind, I desire for my students to have the best possible resources to effectively meet their needs. The classroom should be a safe haven where students explore, learn, and work through life's tough issues and how to best handle them. Providing my students with the resources in this project will support this kind of environment.
