My students come from all aspects of the community. Many are surprised at the number of struggling students who live in an outwardly affable area. My school is blessed to have a very involved PTSA, however, with limited government funds my school still struggles to replace aging materials. Our classroom desks have not been updated since the school opened in 1992. My classroom in particular is made up of a mix of elementary school desks and broken tables. My fellow teachers and I are hoping to replace them.
