My students are leaders. At Inwood Academy for Leadership we work to foster both academic knowledge and character. Students are learning that they make a difference in our community. My students are resourceful problem solvers. This year they brought in phone shipping cases for us to use as paint palettes (genius) and one student even organized my art closet based on materials needed for each project! My students are helpful and kind. This year I was a traveling teacher which is quite challenging with painting materials, every class students would pitch in to not only clean up but to move my whole "classroom" to another room for my next class. My students are creative. A positive result of limited resources is students are forced to think outside of the box, a mistake quickly becomes a new and interesting challenge in the art room.
