The students are six and seven year old children eager to create, explore and discover. My class is their safe place where they can be themselves, know what is expected, and trust that it will be a constant in their lives. Our school is multicultural. We have many different countries, languages and cultures represented. Our school is Title 1 with 95-100% free and reduced lunch. Our charter school is backed by a university, and we are able to ensure our students have all necessary supplies without asking them to bring anything. We are also able to ensure their health needs are met by leveraging the support of local nonprofits. Staff members at our school are a unified team who are dedicated to providing an excellent and culturally responsive education to all of our students.
