They will use this historical fiction to learn about one of the most impacting times in history as well as be able to reflect on how we as a society should treat one another. Number the Stars is a story that helps students reflect upon family relationships, friendships, love, etc... but most importantly to collaborate. It allows for students to understand that we can not judge anyone unless one knows the real person within. This story will allow students to deeply reflect how to get along with others.
