I have eleven special needs students. The range in the classroom goes from second grade up to fifth grade. My students give me joy. There is never a dull moment in the classroom. We have so much fun learning and sharing ideas. I have a few students that are so creative that they lead small groups during art. My students enjoy hands on manipulative. They enjoy working independently. It makes them feel good about themselves. My school is a high poverty level school. However, that does not deter us from working to our potential. We do not have many things as far as hands on materials or listening devices but we make what we have work. My school is a caring, friendly, no nonsense, team playing school. We all do our part to help make students and staff feel safe and wanted. No child is left behind.
