My first grade class of 28 students is filled with personality, energy, and curiosity. My school houses grades one through eight from low income families outside of the Philadelphia area. I teach the children to become life long learners as we practice academic and social skills. My role as a first grade teacher is to provide instruction as to what a good learner needs in order to succeed. Having pencils availalable each morning is a basic classroom necessity.
