As the Media Specialist, I see all 750 students in our school over a six day rotation. Every day I see one class from each grade level. We have four self-contained ESE units that also come to the library with other classes. Our students are simply awesome!! We are in a somewhat rural area and we service a variety of families with various incomes. Some students are not ready-to-read and any sort of encouragement is going to make them blossom! I feel it is positive attention for students to do something special in front of their classmates, such as read a simple book. Even strong readers will find that they, too, have skills to develop when they read out loud.
