A typical day in my classroom consists of English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. My students work collaboratively to solve math problems, and create group writings. They are also learning important life skills of how to work together and how to solve problems. The school has one computer lab. My class gets to use the computer lab once a week for 30 minutes. The Common Core standards require that students in third grade not only type stories, but also create multimedia presentations. With only three classroom computers, it is very difficult to ensure all of my students have computer access.
