The STARS Classroom is a 1st-3rd grade classroom. Half of the students are students with special needs and the other half are traditional students who are good role models and help support the students with special needs. We have a multiple age (1st, 2nd, 3rd grade) and multiple ability (Autism, learning disability, multiple disability, low cognitive, etc.) classroom where every student is different and has their own learning style. Our goal is to help the students with special needs become independent so that by the time they are in the 4th grade they can transition into a general education classroom. We believe in inclusion at our school, and as teachers we provide lessons and materials that help support our students.
