Ka Waihona O ka Naauao Public Charter School is located on the Waianae Coast on the Island of Oahu. About 95% of our students are Native Hawaiian and 76% qualify for free and reduced lunch. Historically the Waianae Coast has experienced many social challenges which create obstacles to our students' success. Our school strives to create an environment that grows victors not victims through a belief that all students can find success with the right supports in place. Our students have great hearts and great minds but sometimes lack the confidence to really shine in the academic realm. They are motivated by hands on experiential learning that enables them to tap into their creative genius. We believe that it is through these experiences that our students will overcome this lack of confidence to become the leaders they were meant to be.
